You can’t be me I’m

a Rock Star. I’m rhyming on top of a cop car.

Went to see N*E*R*D at Brixton Academy. After the events in Edinburgh where half of the EMA winners turned up to help Pharrell on stage, we were half expecting a cheeky Nelly/Beyonce appearance.

The crowd was mainly white/18 years old but with an enormous collection of trucker hats popularised by Mr Williams. It was like a 18 Wheeler Convention in Idaho.

After a warm up by a gay Spymob band and an excellent bit of beatboxing by Killa Kella (who Pharrell has rated as the best in the world), NERD hit the stage.

Chad Hugo was missing. I assume Pharrell has killed him. After busting a few tracks from ‘In Search Of’, he says ‘ My little brother is here, give him a shout’.

In walks in Justin Timberlake. He then stays on stage all night, rinsing out a bit of Senorita/Rock Your body whilst helping NERD with all their tracks and spot beatboxing with Killa. Excellent - good to see him in a small venue rocking hard.
My diary of a week of lash is in the works.
