Saw Obie Trice in concert last night at La Scala. Actually pretty good - he turned up on time(ish) and banged out alot of tracks from his new album. I was half expecting Fitty Cent and Eminem to turn up but no joy. At the end he organised a bootie-shaking contest to win a tour jacket. His best line -
‘yo like a white Missy Elliot’ to some fat chick trying to shake it on stage.
cute, quirky indie film. Similar in tone to Me and You and Everyone We Know but with Steve Carrell on good form. Ending is ace.

Pan's Labyrinth. Darkly and violently magical. Del Toro's masterpiece and my fav. film for a long time with it's sadistic fascist surroundings and baby-eating monsters make for riveting viewing.

Gripping MagiCian tale of two warring Victorian tricksters. Batman versus Wolverine - ultimate head to head. And Scarlett looks ace in this. Awesome.

Mindblowing and terrifying doc about Bible Camps for kids in the US. 25% of US citizens are Evangelical Christians, 75% of the children are home-schooled (i.e. science is wrong blah blah) and the narrow-minded, brainwashing shit that goes on puts Al-Queda to shame. Watch trailer
