Subject: Important coke Question

Dear Dr Coke,

Am I able to mix Vanilla Diet Coke and Lemon Diet coke together safely? I’ve heard it may cause acidic melting of the throat.

We have tried it and here are the results.

Yours

Not hearing anything I decided to call the customer careline. Speaking with Charlotte I enquired on the safety of drinking the combination of the two Coke products. She, not only had received the email, but stated quite clearly

“There are no ingredients in either drink which could cause acidic throat melting”.

It actually tastes quite nice.
(conversation transcript in the extended)

I called up and said

“My brother is 5 and wants to know if you can mix vanilla coke with lemon coke, I mean would you or Coca-Cola recommend it”

She goes
“Is this for your own use?”

I go “yes.

She goes - “it should be fine. What’s your name?’

I tell her and she’s says

“Ah we have an email from you concerned about “acidic throat melting”.”

At this point I start pissing myself and tell her “Oh my brother asked the question as he’s young and imaginative”.

Then she says “I can categorically state that neither vanilla coke or lemon coke, both diet and regular contain any ingredients which cause “acidic throat melting”.

I had to hang up as I was actually laughing out loud.
