Fidel Gastro’s

Had my leaving do on Friday which was very nice. Started drinking �1.10 pints and ended up stumbling home from a club at 3am.

Midway in this journey we stopped at the Laguna curry house. Excellent food but for some reason I got a birthday cake and ‘Happy Birthday’ sung for me.

Saw ‘Hable con Elle’ last night. It featured a lady in a coma. After about 5 minutes someone asked ‘could you have sex with someone in a coma?’. A small discussion followed about whether it was similar to having sex with a dead person but the conclusion was that it would be warmer.

Half an hour later the man in the film has sex with coma girl. Nice.

Very good film though. Going to see Adaptation tonight - I wanted to see Rules of Attraction but the thought of Dawson of the Creek on the receiving end was too much for some. Jessica Biel is a hottie though.

Just saw Adaptation. Excellent - solid Jonze stylings and a bit of a recursive headfuck. There is no Donald Kaufman but there is a Susan Orlean and a book called the Orchid Thief. Here’s good coverage on the film.
